How do I stop yelling at my boyfriend?
We've been together for a year now. I love him so much but I ALWAYS seem to yell at him over stupid little things. I have no idea why and it just comes out if nowhere and then I end up feeling really bad. I can tell he gets sad afterwards when I yell because he doesn't talk much and he's always asking why do you yell at me and make me feel like crap. He told me his ex (who he HATED) would constantly yell at him and he was so sick of it and he told me she was a real bitch and sometimes I feel like he's thinking the same thing about me. He told me its different with me because he actually loves me so he doesn't care if I yell. For example the other day there was a mouse in my basement (we got them because of an old piano my mom got from my grandparents and I guess they were inside of the piano) and ever since then we've had mice. My boyfriend started yelling so I ran over and saw my cat eyeballing the thing and it wasn't moving for like 10 minutes so I figured it was dead and I asked my bf to help me put it in something to get rid of it and he kept saying I'm not going near that thing blah blah and then it ran and we lost it and I threw a fit at him saying you fucking asshole why didnt you just help me you just stood there now its gone. Also sometimes if he doesn't get off xbox and come lay with me ill yell at him or if he doesn't do something for me. I try to control it but it just slips out and I don't want him to get tired of me and I don't want to lose him. What do I do to stop yelling so much?
